Booting Qnx4 over arcnet network

Hi,
I am trying to boot over an arcnet network. I have the arcnet card setup

Boot over network
Arcnet Address 43
Primary Bootnode 41
Secondary Bootnode 0
Boot Filename os.2.21atp.S

The netmap file for the qnx4 network is

1 1 t41
2 1 t42
3 1 t43
4 1 t44
5 1 t45

I can get the PC to boot on the Qnx2 network where the primary bootnode is
1.

When I attempt to boot a Qnx4 PC over the network nothing happens. When I
set netboot with -v I do not get any messages relating to a boot request?

Any ideas?

I’m not sure I understand. Are you trying to boot a QNX2 (os.2.21atp)
node from a QNX4 boot server?

Add more -v options to netboot to increase its level of verbosity; it may
give you a better idea of what’s going on. Also, if you could post your
/etc/config/netboot file contents, it might help us to see what’s going
wrong. This file, along with the netmap file, is crucial to the netboot
process.

Bill,
I can connect the PC to a Qnx2 network and boot successfully as a Qnx2 PC
over the network. When I connect the PC to the Qnx4 network, it will not
boot over the network

Many thanks

Try removing the boot filename. It must be blank.
