problems with ISA modems

I have a USR 56k x2 (flashed to v.90) modem, residing on a cheesy MB based
on the VIA chipset. QNX does not like it, BeOS and windows both lub it.
Linux and unix used to lub it, until I put it on the cheesy motherboard, I
tried slaying and restarting devc-8250 with almost any imaginible port/irq
combination. QNX still doesn’t like it.
help?

Same modem same problem… (works with the demo disk)
never got it to work under linux though… I guess that’s why i’m still
running windows 98. Since you think it may have to do with your motherboard
mine is a Asus P2B.

ttyS01/Com2, I believe?
You don’t have the same port enabled on the motherboard?
Are you sharing IRQ’s (don’t!)?
