Hi.
Could you please tell me if I can download upgrades/patches/additional
software not using qnx installer (on-line)?
The problem is that I have really slow inet access at home (qnx) and much
better speed at work (where I cannot install qnx).
So I would like to downlad it at work and then install at home…
Thanks,
daman

Download the QNX RTP iso image and burn a CD, you will get most of the
packages.
OR you may purchase one to be sent to you in < 2 working days.
OR Bring your hard-drive to work…

Less than 2 working days? but daman’s email says .fm; I’m not sure where
that is, but I presume it’d take a little longer than 2 working days to get
there

The .fm domain belongs to the Federated States of Micronesia. According
to http://www.fm they’re near Indonesia and the Philippines.
Anyway, does anybody know if I can install QNX RTP on a SCSI-only system
yet? They told me they’d be working on this…

This is going to be available in the next release.

Build a more reliable world
The QNX Real Time Platform is now available
Get it a http://get.qnx.com
Daman:
I´m new user, but i know about Linux and all Windows os, BE, OS-2 and the
best!, QNX.
Because my modem (real modem!) don´t work for now (only one time…), i
download programs from Intertet and have installed with Pkg_installer,
others with the use of tools like gunzip, tar, rpm… It´s a more complex
system to install software, if you don´t know the other side of this
beautifull platform it´s not a good idea…
One example is the text editor abisuite, you can download and install easy
with the package installer, but also need some simple steps on a terminal
window, you need first to be familiarized with this.
Sincerelly:
