and i don’t see a ppp0 tab in my devices section when trying to get a

What is the command that you are using for io-net. If you are not
sure, can you post the output of “pidin ar”.

be able to connect to my isp.

OK. You have nothing to do with ppp, yet.
As long as you could have a /dev/ser3, and can talk
to it, you can then use ppp, otherwise, you have to
find out the way how to recognize your modem FIRST.
I have no idea how to deal with PCMCIA modem, I guess
you have to stick in THAT thread, see if anyone else
could help you.
