sound card

I have a Sound Blaster compatible sound card, ESS 1868 WDM, with irq=5,
i/o=220,388,330, and dma=1,3
I must start it using the /sbin/deva-sb with the above parameters. With
the ps command, it shows up correctly.
To play an audio CD, I must kill that pid! When I try it with realplay,
it gives me errors, dos not work at all. As if it could not find the
driver.
Does anyone out there know how to solve the problem, short of buying a
new card.
If not, what sound card do you recommend?

No support for ESS sound cards, check out

for supported audio cards.

Hi group,

allow me (a complete newbie to QNX RTP) to ask a question. I have got a
SoundBlaster card AudioPCI128 from Creative Labs in my computer with AMD
Duron @600 MHz. MB is AOpen MK33.

Neutrino is telling me, that the sound card driver is not running and
executing

deva-audiopci

doesn’t seem to have an effect.

TIA
Ladislav

I recently changed my sound card for a Audio PCI128 from Creative Labs. It
is detected as ‘audiopci’, plays audio CDs, but does not work in Voyager
with RealPlayer (realplay), though when I click on a RealPlayer link in a
Web page, realplay starts, tries to connect to the site, but stops with an
error message.
Then it seems that Voyager recognizes RealPlayer as a plugin!?
Please someone, any idea about how to solve this problem…

Pourquoi pas aussi BeOS?
And why not QNXRtP…

More details:
The error given by RealPlayer in Voyager is:
Report(3, 0x80004005,"(NULL)",0,"(NULL)",“PRN_FAIL”)
Does this only mean that Voyager cannot find a plugin; therefore what is the
use of reaplay in Voyager? for what can it be used?
Does anyone know the meaning of the message?

Ladislav,

Do you get any output from the deva-audiopci when you run it from the
commandline?

What output do you get from /usr/sbin/pci -vvv ?
You will have to be logged in as root.
/usr/sbin/pci -vvv > output.txt

Thanks,
James M.

Raymond,

What is/are the link(s) that you are using for testing?

Can you post the output of the pidin command?

Thanks,
James M.
