sound on RTP

I installed RTP w/o sound a few weeks ago. I recently bought a Creative
Labs Ensoniq card which according to the Knowledge Base uses the
deva-Audiopci driver. I can successfully execute the driver from the /sbin
directory but I’m obviously leaving something else out since I get the usual
warning when I start MediaPlayer that it finds no driver installed. There
is also no /dev/snd directory.
What do I need to do to get the sound working?
Thanks for help on the “newbie” question

Hi Garth,

Do you pass any parameters to the driver? Could you post the output
from pci -vvv?

Thanks

Erick.
