profile or bashrc

In linux, we can use either profile (.profile) or .bashrc to add
commands such as alias ls=‘ls -aF’
How can one use such a command in .profile in QNXRTP 6.0

Anyone is familiar with such?

Raymond

The only thing I do in my profile is:

export ENV=.kshrc

Then I put anything I EXPORT in there, as well as any aliases.

The trick is to export the ENV=.kshrc or else the shell will not parse
the file.

Aliases do not work in the .profile

Before you go wild with aliases, be aware that some applications will
spawn others and expect to parse the output according to the expectation
that it will be `standard’. To prevent this, do the following:

if test “$(tty)” != “not a tty”; then
export ENV=.kshrc
endif
