Linksys EC2T PCMCIA

Hello,

I’m having problems getting my Linksys ec2t detected on neutrino 2.11 with
patch b. I run #pin and I get all empty sockets?

I also ran devp-pccard -v and it does dectect the card being plugged in and
out… and the card works fine under windows 98…

Hello,

I’m having problems getting my Linksys ec2t detected on neutrino 2.11 with
patch b. I run #pin and I get all empty sockets?

Yeah, I had the same problem.

I specifically purchase the Linksys PCMCIA card since my other
network card isn’t supported. I noticed in the driver documentation
that you can specify the interrupt,…etc. and I had to change the
ioport and irq.

io-net -d ne2000 ioport=0x320,irq=11 -p ttcpip if=ndi0:10.184 &

See the documentation on the devn-ne2000 driver.
You might need to run “nettrap -v” to see what interrupt and port is
required.

Hi,

This card should work with no problems. Please slay io-net
and then start the driver verbose and send us the output.

io-net -del900 verbose

Joe

Sorry, disregard last post.

Try slaying devp-pccard and re-starting it, see if it detects
the card then. Also is it not detected in both sockets?
If slaying and re-starting the driver doesn’t work, please post the output from ‘pci -v’.

Joe

Hi,

I did io-net -del900… what output do you want me to send you ( there was
none when I input the preceding command )?

Here are some oddities ( excuse my spelling ), I had to deactivate the
“patch b” to even get the link light on my EC2T to go on? Also with “patch
b” activated, pin will show all slots empty… but when I deactivate “patch
b” and plug my Megahertz CreditCard, it detects Network on slot 1 base:0x202
and IRQ 3… I am lost…

Thanks

I heard that IBM StinkPads are a problem with QNX? Is that true… because
that’s what I have running? And come to think about it… It doesn’t even
detect the sound card…

I received a file cdbreg.dat and the following instructions. They do not
work, am I missing something?

my instructions

Hi Vittorio,

Attached is the latest version of cbreg.

Run “cbreg > filename” with devp-pccard running with your ethernet card

inserted. Then post the contents of the output file ‘filename’, to the

thread in the newsgroups.
