PCMCIA Support (3Com Net Card) and QNX ISO

I haven’t had a chance to use QNX on my desktop machine, but I did get
to install it on my laptop, only with some disappointment…

Neither the sound chipset, nor the network card is supported…

The sound is understandable. The network card, otoh, is not - it’s
a 3Com 3C589 – One of the most widely supported 10BaseT cards…
I think the driver that it uses in Linux is the same as the PCI
based ones (the 90x series)…I tried using “io-net -del900 verbose”
but got no output – anyone get this working? Is support planned?

The ISO –

Please, provide MD5Sums for the isos… I downloaded it from tucows,
it was 226 (approximately) MBs, burned fine. Installed fine.
But… When I went to use the package manager, it says:

“The Repository ‘CD-ROM Repository’ contains files that have errors.”

Upon hitting “view errors” it says:

“Error while parsing
/root/.ph/pkg_mgr/repository/entry1/repository.qrm
no element found at line 1”

Any ideas with that one? If I could get net access on this, I was
going to try my hand at coding a few simple apps, to get a feel for
a streamlined RTOS with a very-cool GUI.

Thanks again,

Hi Matthew,

This driver will be in the next release of RTP.

Regards,

Joe
