I have a PCI modem but I could not configure it. When the system pulls up
appear this message:
“Range check failed (MEM)- Dev 2015- Vend 127a- Class 78000- Address
d7000000- Size 1000”
(it identify to the modem)
and upon executing devc.ser8250 with the correct parameters ([pci]- v)
(address and [irq]) I follow without could use the modem. ([qtalk or
dialer]: They don’t respond)

i think your modem is a WINmodem
you can’t use it with unix-like OS
