Ive just downloaded the windows version of qnx rtp, but when i try to boot the only thing i see is "detected EIDE. scanning for devices" and then my pc locks. Ive tried all possible boot options i could think of (disable network,
sound, non DMA boot) but nothing seems to solve the problem.
Booting from a floppy gives me the same result.

Right hmm, on first install of QNX, mine managed to get past “detected EIDE.
scanning for devices”, but then crashed on the font subsystem thing. And
everytime I tried after that, it halted on “detected EIDE. scanning for
devices”, my solution was to remove the network card, maybe you have a
device on your system which is not liked by QNX, now im not very well up on
all this, but it may be something more than just those, I wish that I could
help more but I haven’t a scooby, maybe Mario Charest will help you, he
seems to know loads about everything
