I’m a QNX newbie, just grabbed it 'cos it looked too intriguing…
Was wondering - haven’t been able to find much software for it, and in
particular would like a database package and a web server package
(so could do ASP or PHP or etc etc).
I discovered a builtin thingie (slinger for memory) but all that appears to
do
is HTML.
Get the empress database for starters. Their CD includes a copy of Apache
that I have had running for over six months now in a development environment
with no problems. They also have a HTML toolkit that takes a bit of getting
used to, but allows you to embed SQL in your HTML to retrieve and display
data. I’m not sure if they include the HTML kit and Apache with their free
distribution though.
