Another Question

Also just downloaded a word processor for QNX -
AbiWord or some such. How do I use the package
manager to install it? I tried copying it into the /pkgs/repository
directory, but it doesn’t show up in the package manager.

Hi Benjamin,

I had the same problem just today. You should select the qpr package itself,
not the directory, using the package manager. There is no need to copy it
anywhere you can even leave it on your windows partition.

From the command line, you can do pkg-installer -u .qpr.

cheers,

Hello!:

When you download software please reed the installation steps if available,
for abisuite you have one.
First please make a temporal repository, from the console:
mkdir /tmp/repository
copy the file to the new repository and untar it:
tar -zxvf abisuite-0.7.14-QNX_x86pc_static.qpr
next use the package installer:
pkg-installer -u file:///tmp/repository
Now you can install easy your new editor!. And please in the future to do
not use titles like “another question”, its better “abisuite installation”
or “software installation” or any more descriptive. Good luck!!!
