Start Photon manually

For some reasons I am interested in starting the Photon manually,I almost
finished the job,but as you know,a newbie always needs help.

1,“pidin a” showed me that the Photon was running with a parameter like
this
Photon -g -lphlogin “-Sphshutdown -l”
but if I type it manually,QNX reports a lot errors,it seems that the
Photon & also servers me,your shipped help does not tell anything about the
command of phlogin"-Sphshutdown -l",what does it really mean?

2,what does the app of wmswitch act as?it is not documented

3,how to use bkgdmgr?I want it to show a wallpaper not just a white one

4,how to config the shelf?I noticed that in the dir of /etc/photon/shelf
there are two config files named lauch_menu.xml and shelf.cfg.then how can I
tell the shelf to use the two config files?I “pidin e” after booting to the
installed photon state, but the shelf seems did not need any PATH env of
/etc.does any globe env shall I set?

5,where is the ph script file?I tried many times to find it out,but I
failed.

Thanks
Best Regards

Hi ChaoLi,

Best place for this question would be the rtp.photon newsgroup. However
I will point this out to our apps guys.

Hi…

I am not sure if this apply or if it is close to what you mean, but read
this:

http://qdn.qnx.com/support/bok/solution.qnx?10044

then on the command prompt, just type: “ph”.

Miguel.
