Network Drivers

Hi all,

I’ve recently installed RTP (the pre-release version - that’s all I have at
the moment), and I was playing around with io-net. Nettrap tells me which
driver to use, but none of the network drivers are in the default path. I
have a feeling that this is the case with other config. options and utils.
What is the best(?) way of configuring the system for maximum ‘usability’?

Best Regards,

Nick Tipping.

nettrap had been deprecated as of 6.1. What version are you running?

??? If you login as root everything is accessible. Can you give an
example of a perticular problem?

Mario, I believe I have misinterpreted what is going on .
‘io-net -dtulip’ returns ‘unable to init dll devn-tulip: No such device’
However, I believe the driver is already running, and this leads to the
(slightly misleading) error message.

Best Regards,

Nick Tipping.

Hi,

Do a ‘pidin mem’ to see if the tuplip lib is loaded into io-net.

Regards,

Joe
