Specifying Multiple Group IDs

Does anyone know of a way for a user to belong to mulitple groups. I have
two groups, sse (system software engineering) and ase (application software
engineering) I need to have access to both group directories. the
permissions are set to only allow users with group acces sse to write into a
specific dir. Thanks I know this is probably simple

Thanks. That did it. Just added myself to the group in /etc/group and then
switch using the newgrp.

Hello Jeff,

Take a look at the ‘Setting up User Accounts’ at
http://qdn.qnx.com/support/docs/qnx4/user_guide/accounts.html
You would be particularly interested in the /etc/group section.

Regards,
Dave B.
