It seems I’ve not gotthe syntax for mounting a CD in such a way that
the executable files have their executable bits available, by a user.
( it’s not necessary that the user mount the CD, but it would be nice )

Aquavit is also considered useful for medicinal purposes, an essential
ingredient in what I was once told is the Norwegian cure for the common
cold. You get a bottle, a poster bed, and the brightest colored stocking
cap you can find. You put the cap on the post at the foot of the bed,
then get into bed and drink aquavit until you can’t see the cap. I’ve
never tried this, but it sounds as though it should work.

I know about user exec flags in other systems, but how does one mount
a CD in a running RTP such that executables on a CD are executable ?
I assume they are not by some default in the mount command, but the
documentation is a bit sparse.

When you live in a sick society, just about everything you do is wrong.
I think you can use “exec” options to allow executions. Sorry, I don’t know enough about “Rock
Ridge extensions” (make it any sense for you or not), but I think you’re able to make all files to
be executable by any user without those extensions.
