can you install QNX as a standalone OS?

i just wanted to know if i have to have windows installed first for qnx to
work or if it can be installed as a standalone OS. and can this be done on a
x86?

No, you do not need Windows installed first.
You do need to be able to boot from the
iso CD, or a boot floppy. Yes, it can
be done on a x86.
