lpd does not work!

hi,
with a NECWRITER P6300i printer connected to local /dev/par1,I created the
/etc/printcap and the /usr/spool/output/lpt1 as its spool directory .after
loading the syslogd and lpd,I send the “lpr -Plpt1 /myfolder/hello.c”,but
the printer did not work, also no error reported or logged.
the lprc status report:

queuing is enable
printing is enable
2 entries in spool area
lpt1 is ready and printing

it lied.what is wrong?

By the way ,cat /myfolder/hello.c → /dev/par1 works.

Thanks.
