Modem Problem

My modem is not seen by the system.
It works fine under WIndows and BeOS.

When I want to do a dial-up call, I only see Serial 1 and 2.

It’s an PCI internal HSmicromodem (or something like that).
If someone can tell me how to configure it…

Thanks in advance.

I think we need a new FAQ based upon newsgroup questions at QNX

Login as root and type: slay devc-ser8250
If you know what com port, IO and IRQ settings your modem uses, you can
restart devc-ser8250 by typing: /sbin/devc-ser8250 -u3 3e8,10
… for com port 3, IO setting 3E8 and IRQ 10 (such as my internal USR
56K v/d/f PnP is). I’m not a hardware person - I’m more software oriented.
I’m told you can tell by jumper settings what these should be, but my
modem’s internal and I don’t want to open the case up. So I just went back
into Windows, Control Panel, System (hardware settings), Modems and read the
info from in there.
Good luck!

But there is one! Check out the knowledge base at support.qnx.com.

I am having the same problem with my USR Sportster 33.6 internal
(ISAPNP\USR2050)
I restarted the devc-ser8250 with the data found in windows and with
those found in the
FAQ (wich is the same of Chalz’s).
During a verbose boot, I can see after the SB16PnP configuration an
error message that
ends in ‘(Function not implemented)’ - is it related to the problem?
Doing jumper configuration (instead of PnP) would help?
I have a SOYO 5EH5 motherboard with VIA’s MVP3 chipset.

Thanks in advance.
