You probably need to tell the device which connector to use,
my 3c901 has RJ45,AUI and BNC. The device default was for the RJ45
below is what solved it for me:
io-net -del900 connector=0, duplex=1, speed=10 -p tcpip
the important bit being ‘connector=0’

Thank you Russ, that was the fault: I always wrote “connect=0”, because
the text
in the online doc is trunc. now it works. cheers

As I’ve mentioned in another group, helpviewer has a problem with compact
definition lists in some fonts. Change the body font to New Century Schoolbook
for now (it’s the only one I tried that didn’t truncate the text).
