Installing Python via the package manager fails

Hello,

I’ve twice tried to get Python, but both times, when the package manager
tries to install it, it stops with a tar error.

I think that someone put some of the python files in the wrong place, so
when the pkg manager downloads them, it is only downloading an html page
saying that it can’t find the files, and tar tries to unpack the html
page. Or something like that.

Good luck

Yeah, same here. Tar exits with an error (return: 2) or something like
that.
