"Range check failed" during pci-bios boot??

Hello,

I am trying to make QNX boot from a floppy on a Compact PCI computer
When the pci-bios command is issued, error-messages
“Range check failed (IO) - Dev 5229 - Vend 10b9 - Class 101a4 - Addr 1f0 -
Size f
e10
Alloc failed 1f1 - Size fe10” is sent.

I assume that it has to do with my IDE connection.
From the PCI command the following is picked:

Class = Mass Storage (IDE)
Vendor ID = 10b9h, Acer Labs Inc.
Device ID = 5229h, M1543 Southbridge EIDE Controller
PCI index = 0h
IO Address = 1f0h enabled <= This allocation fails
IO Address = 3f4h enabled <= This allocation fails
IO Address = 170h enabled <= This allocation fails
IO Address = 374h enabled
IO Address = fcf0h enabled
PCI Int Pin = INT A
Interrupt line = no connection

My IDE can still be mounted and connected?!?, why

Does anyone know what to do? Isn’t this driver supported in the standard
pci-bios???
It seems that the BIOS doens’t forbid these adresses.

Thanks,
Gunnar

The “range check failed” message is output in case we run into problems.
The fact that your IDE interface still works means that all is OK.
