Compaq appears to have extensive use of ESS Technologies ES1869 Control
Interface and AudioDrive chipset integrated their boxes. I’ve seen a
number of postings related to this chipset, with the bottom line being
that it is currently unsupported. Does anyone at QSSL know if there are
plans to add support for this (and in what timeframe), or should I
simply buy a real sound card?
At this time, it is not planned. This could, of course, change at any
moment, but I would bet against it being supported for a while.
