Patch for QNX RTP

I can’t get more than 640x480 4bit 16colors on my notebook. My video Cyrus
video chip is not supported and I read that there is a Path A that is
available or is going to be. Does anyone knows where to get it?

Ruben

Patch A not released yet, as far as I know. Previous posts indicate it will
be available to download through the package manager.

It is going through painful beta testing now. It has been re-released
twice already and will be again. Believe me it is better to wait until
all rough corners are polished.

Good news is, it will probably support pretty much any video chip with
1024x768x16 mode (non-accelerated). And SCSI is coming too, although
still in somewhat limited manner.

Is the network DDK in there, Igor? That’s the part I’m in need of. Hopefully
it’s in pretty good shape.

Yes. As well as graphics and printer DDK. Shape is reasonably good.

Be sure to post lots of feedback on the NetDDK either to me or to the
newsgroups. What are you looking to support?

We’re building a Fibre Channel driver, and a single/dual/quad T1 interface
board driver. The FC will be a piece of cake to tie into the network stuff
it appears (but I don’t know for sure because I don’t have the DDK yet, hint
hint hint), but there’s still the question of how to tie it into both the
network and the filesystem at the same time. The T1 stuff is network
only, and we’ve got a virtual layer we built on top of the basic T1 thingie
that gives us fault tolerant load balancing across N boards/links. Sure
would be nice to get off our butts and take those last few steps, but alas,
by the time I realized I really did need to be in the beta, it was too late.

If you could provide me one generic, working sample program I bet I can
figure out the rest, even without the DDK. I’ve got all of the data
structures in place, I’m just not quite sure what to tweak when whomever
calls whatnot, and sosuch.

I hope they release an updated ISO file. Then I’ll burn that and toss
my old RTP CD-R out.

Which reminds me I need to download the latest BeOS PE and fry a new
bootable CD from it. (Now if only Citizen’s Telco would hurry up
and install a DSLAM for this town!)
