I just installed QNX from the free 24mb downloads on the QNX home page. It
hangs while loading photon hangs on crttrap command. It prints this on the
screen.
Running crttrap, please wait…
/usr/photon/bin/dev-iographics -dldevg-s3.so -I0x5333,0x8901
/user/photon/bin/dev-iographics -dldevg -vesabios.so -IO -d0x533,0x8901
\
i looked for that directory but i couldnt find it. is the file missing? what
causes it to hang? how do i fix it? the QNX demo floppy disk loads just
fine. I have to video card but i only use one of them. the on the mother
board is no longer used. the one on the motherboard is s3vx64 or somthing
like that and the PCI graphics card i use is bali 128/3d w/the voodoo rush
chipset and w/6mb ram.
Any ideas?
Hi Corey
There is an issue with dual video cards in a QNX 6.0 (Patch A) system. Have
you disabled your onboard video card? or is it still active in the bios?

i dont think i can disable it. i disabeld it in win95. i’ve seen people talk
about using dual video cards. would that fix it. or using the hydra.so file?
i dont know how to do any of that of course, but would that work?

Hi!
I ´ve the same problem with an intel 810 board with on-board video disabled in
the bios and a voodo 3 3000 PCI card. QNX boots, then: running crttrap and it
freezes just after the i810 driver has been loaded. Is it somehow possible not
to load a driver for the onboard i810 since I don´t use it anyway?

this thing is still giving me a head ache. would a unix driver work? I used
the pci command. when the rush card is installed it has an irq of 0 and int
line is NCand the same with all the other pci devices. using the only
onbaord card (S3 v64) it has irq of 11 and INT line of A.

I have the same problem. Could you tell me your hardware setup (esp
video
cards)?
