qnxrtp.iso - How to use it???

Hi there!
I have installed QNX RTP v6.0 couple of days ago and using the qnxrtp.exe
selfextraction and i’ve found out that my network interfaxce card is not
supported,so i can’t download the development tools and ather packages!
So,i have downloaded the qnxrtp.iso image,then i’ve burned a cd,and when i
opened it through the FileManager in QNX,I 've seen that on the CD i have
the same qnxrtp.iso file, which i think is not what is supposed to be on the
disk.
I’ve tried opening it from the package manager from CD-repository,but I’ve
received an error message stating :
" unable to find the file /fs/cd0/repository2"
My question is what kind of CD-ROM burning program i have to use,so it can
burn the proper files on the CD.Or if the .iso image is sopposed to be used
as it is,how can i use it then?

The iso file is an image of the CD and not a file to be burn
on the CD. Most buring program "Adaptec, Nero, CDRwin,
fireburner all have option to burn images and they should
understand what an .iso file is.

You have probably burnt the .iso file like
an ordinary file. Any CD burning program should have
a separate option to burn CD image (.iso) files.
Under Win… it is sometimes as simple as
double-clicking the name of the .iso file…
After burning qnxrtp.iso you should have
a self-booting CD (or at least you should see
many catalogues and files on it).

If you mount the file on you current cd, you could point a repository
at it. I’ve done this in the past, but can’t find my steps right now

mount -t cd /fs/cd0/.iso /fs/cd1

Then if you add an item in the package installer that looks
at /fs/cd1/repository2, you should be able to install with
what you have.

I think that you can try the FireBurner program to burn *.iso file

mount -t cd /fs/cd0/.iso /fs/cd1

Should I be able to do something like?

mount -t cd /mypath/qnxrpt.iso /fs/cd1

How can I make an .iso file on my hard drive look like a CD?

Those steps are what I do (as root)

Hello Peter

I tried what you said here. After I have installed ‘Repository2’ (which gave
the illusion of working without errors) I double click on that repository I
get a pop-up window that says:

“Package Manager - The repository ‘Respoitory2’ contains files that have
errors.”

If I them click on “View Errors” it says:

"Error while parsing: ‘/root//.ph/pkg_mgr/repository/entry3/repository.qrm’
"

Clicking “OK” at this point simply shows that there is noting under this
repository.

Do I have a bad iso image? or am I doing something wrong?

All I want to do is to update an RTP system that doesn’t have a CD Rom drive
and that ‘currently’ I can’t use the network card (it’s a Sis 900 - rumor
has it that that driver is forthcoming). We have a nice high speed
connection to the internet but crappy phone service here so I don’t want to
try to use a modem.
