On QNX4 and QNXRTP, when I login directly into a text console,
/etc/profile and $HOME/.profile is executed.
This seems not to be done if I start the textconsole from within photon.
Where can I define my environment variables and aliases
for a textconsole started from photon ?

One method is to start pterm with the -l option ("start as
login shell"), it would then parse the profiles. Just in case: right
click over the shelf, chose configure, and edit the pterm entry.
