The 6.1 beta starts to work pretty well with this box. I no longer get hung up on the PcCard enumeration. Photon works well as does the touchpad. The built in NIC is not supported and audio don’t work.

The question is how is this different from the supported ESS1938
chip?

A remianing big problem is lack of support for a poweroff shutdown. Now when I do a shutdown I have to pull the battery (since the switch is under BIOS control or something).

One other question - are there any drivers in the works for wireless networking (802.11b)? They seem to work pretty well.

I’ve had a few funny problems. The notebook easily gets into a state where I have to remove the battery (and power cord) to shutdown. It’s a pretty nice notebook - but obviously usless if it won’t run RTP > :wink:> .

This NIC is not supported and will probably not be any time soon (not a very common card).

We do not have the specs or the hardware, and this chipset is not supported.

Try holding the power button down for a few seconds when powering down the system.

There are drivers coming soon, they should be available just after RTP 6.1 goes GA.
