I installed QNX v6 and so far I really like it. Unfortunately, I cannot
fully explore QNX because I an unable to get either one of two modems to
work with it I have an ISA slotted USR 56K PnP Voice FAX modem. It is
not a âwinmodemâ. After many disappointing attempts to get it working, I
replaced the modem with another USR model, a PCI slotted 56K PnP modem (not
a winmodem either). QNX doesnât seem to recognize the PCI slot modem either
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get a modem working with QNX?
Thanks
Hi Dale,
Please donât cross post (it makes a mess of the newsgroup).
Goto the QNX Knowledge Base and run a search on QNX RTP using the keyword âModemâ.
You should find what you need.

Joe

Joe,
Thanks for the suggestion. I went to the knowledge base however, and none
of what I found corrected the problem for me These are âstandardâ 56k
modems manufacturered by a major company, USRobotics. They arenât
winmodems. I donât understand why the OS wouldnât recognize them.
Thanks Again
Dale
