Dell Inspiron 7K & 3Com 3C575A PCCard

Hi;

I am trying to configure a 3COM 3C575A 10/100 network pc card. pin reports
card type as network, irq as 11 and base as 0xfe00 and size as 64. el900
driver loads but can’t get the card to work.

If you have been able to make this card work on QNX RTP 6.0, I will
appreciate any/all help/information. (W/o the network, I can’t get
patches -B/C as yet.)

\

Thanks.
Best Regards.

Hi Chip,

Do a ‘pci’ and retreive the device and vendor ids for your card.
Then start the el900 driver passing in these values.

Example:

io-net -del900 did=???,vid=??? -pttcpip

Regards,

Joe

I have a similar problem with a rtl-compatible card. Running pci tells
me that the netcard and the display both have the same IRQ (10) – I am
wondering if that is why the card is not working.

How can I find out what IRQs are in use? Can I use the irq= option to
assign an IRQ?

Hi Joe;

Thanks for your help. But it still does not work!I end up with a
/dev/io-net/ip0 device and not en0!

I am going to try if 6.1.0 makes any differenece.

Thanks.
Best Regards.
