network problem with rtl8139

Hello,

I have installed a January 18, 2001 version of RTP on a 266 MHz single
board computer that has the RTL8139C network chip. I wanted to download
the latest RTP from the qnx website, but I can’t get the network
connection to work. I have another single board computer (450MHz) with
a RTL8139B network chip that has been working properly, and have
downloaded RTP updates successfully. The Network configuration is the
same in both computers. The drivers are the same. Only difference is
the 266Mhz runs the ttcpip stack and the 450 runs the tcpip stack. I
tried several approachs to resolve the matter, including changing the
ttcpip to tcpip by slaying io-net and doing a io-net -drtl -ptcpip and
redoing the Network Cfg via photon. All I get after ping 209.226.137.1
is sendto: Network is down

The problem is due to a corrupted EEPROM. Downloaded a EEPROM image and no
more problem.
