Is it posible to install QNX4 4.25 software under QNX6.1.0?

Dear users,

I am to use QNX 6.1.0 and SCADA system (FlexCtrl) for QNX 4.25. Am I
sobisible to istall this software? How it is posible? If there is imposible
to to install. Can I get QNX 4 4.25 for free (I am just trying to use QNX
for future use).

Hi Peter,

No QNX 4.25 and QNX 6.1.0 are different OS’s so an executable from 4.25 won’t
work on 6.1.0.

Also at this time QNX 6.1.0 is the only free for non-comercial use version of
our OS.

Hello Peter

Thanks for using our SCADA system FlexCtrl 4.0, which is
running under QNX 4.25 OS. Unfortunately, the QNX6 OS is
not compatible with the QNX4 OS, so you cannot launch the
the FlexCtrl 4.0 from the QNX6 desktop.

Today our company is developing the FlexCtrl 5.5 (Beta state)
for QNX4, based on a powerful object oriented approach. We have
begun to port this version to QNX 6, which is marked FlexCtrl 6.0.
The FlexCtrl 6.0 dynamic graphics editor is already running under
Photon 2.0 (QNX6).

In this year we will finish the biggest FlexCtrl 5.5/6.0 project
with 80.000 process variables (metropolitan railway stations) and
than we will release also the ported FlexCtrl 6.0 version for QNX6.

Just be patient, please, - next year we can deliver a powerful
SCADA package for QNX6 with a lot of drivers, e.g Modbus,
Modbus+, ModbusTCP, IEC870-5-101/104 and similar, SEAB 1/F-1/W,
3964R, RK512, Profibus, MPI, SINEC H1, CAN, CANOpen, Interbus,
LON, RSVP video transmission and others.
