Help please How to install to SCSI drive

Please help resolve my problem.

I am unable to install QNX 6.1.0 to my SCSI drive after booting from the QNX
cd. I have specifically set the 8gb scsi drive aside for QNX. Can anyone
explain how to accomplish this? The install consistently aborts after
getting thru partitioning the drive and choosing to use the existing boot
loader (BootMagic). Disk0 has a fat32 boot partition1 and two NTFS (running
Windows XP builds); Disk1 is running Win2k Adv Server; Disk 2 is running Win
XP Adv Serv; Disk 3 is set aside for QNX and ; and Disk4 is running an XP
build

This server has a pcmcia card reader installed (Texas Instruments) which
houses an Orinoco Silver Wireless NIC (a supported network card?).

The main difficulty is that QNX just won’t install to the scsi drive
(attached to an Adaptec 2940u2w).

Any help greatly appreciated.

How does it abort? Does it give you an error message. I’m not
sure if there is support for booting off of a SCSI drive that is
not 0, or even 1.

Thanks,

It tells me there isn’t 60mb of disk space available - this after
partitioning the scsi drive to use “all of the disk” for QNX. It is scsi id
0 which, after IDE0 and IDE1 is the third drive, followed by 3 drives on the
ATA100 on board controller. Makes no difference if I disable the IDE
controller and the ATA100 controller though, it still aborts the
installation. I am able to easily install FreeBSD, Redhat, BeOS to this
drive.

Any clues?

Hi Paul,

At this time the 2940U2W is not supported, support however is underway,
so there lies the problem :frowning:
