no boot in a Jumptec Mopslcd6

Hello,
We are trying to install the QNX 4.25 on a embedded PC104+ Pentium
266Mhz with a EIDE SunDisk of 32 MBytes. The supplier is JumpTEC (model
Mops6).

We haven’t achieved to create an OS image to boot the system using a

floppy disk. During the boot process a sequence of infinite dots appear
in the screen and it seems never stops.

We have seen in this newsgroup a message from James Gober reporting
a similar problem but it seems that a solution was not pointed out. As
he said, we can boot the system using the installation floppy from QNX.
The only difference we have noticed is that this floppy uses the boot
loader v2.0. Is there any chance to obtain or use this loader for our
own images?

We have also tested the QNX 6 and we can boot the system
successfully, so we think the root of the problem is the boot loader
version used in QNX4. However, we cannot use version 6 of QNX because we

must use a graphics card from Imagenation (PXC200) and libraries for
this card are only available for version 4 of QNX.

Is there anyone who can help us? We are in a hurry!

I’ve the same problem with infinite dots on boooting. I’ve already win2k on
hd0, and it boots clearly, but qnx on hd1 boot fails. Only bootable floppy
save me, but then I have another problem - no photon, no install manager at
all.

I have been dealing with another customer that is having the same problem.

What happens if you use the -O option to dinit? Does that help at all?

Hi

Also have you tried the silent OS loader on the contributed software page
on www.qnx.com

Once you are in the software download section do a search for “loader”.

Please let us know if this helps.
