problem with 3dfx Voodoo 4 4500 PCI

Hi QNX,
I have made a dedicated RTP box equipped with a dual ASUS board, running
two PIII 800, 256 MB RAM and an ATA 100 drive. The system itself works
quite well, the two CPUs are also running. But one problem seems to be
the Voodoo 4 Card. I have installed a PCI graphics card because the
system is build into a 2 HU Rack PC and the AGP port can’t be used. The
Voodoo card is installed on a Raiser PCI card. If photon is started
(running in 1280*1024, 85 Hz) the screen did not stay stable. The lines
are generating a small “zickzack” (looks like a non stable interleave).
To check if there is some problem with the system itself I have
installed Linux with Xfree. But Linux/Xfree runs with absolute no
problem, absolutely stable. Is there any known problem with the Voodoo
driver or anything I can check or modify? The unstable photon session is
absolutely boring.

Can you please post pci -vvv and could you also
try the latest pci-bios from developers.qnx.com

image. The result is the

quite well, the two CPUs are also running. But one problem seems to be

quite well, the two CPUs are also running. But one problem seems to be
the Voodoo 4 Card. I have installed a PCI graphics card because the

Voodoo card is installed on a Raiser PCI card. If photon is started
(running in 1280*1024, 85 Hz) the screen did not stay stable. The lines

To check if there is some problem with the system itself I have
installed Linux with Xfree. But Linux/Xfree runs with absolute no
problem, absolutely stable. Is there any known problem with the Voodoo
driver or anything I can check or modify? The unstable photon session is
absolutely boring.

quite well, the two CPUs are also running. But one problem seems to be
the Voodoo 4 Card. I have installed a PCI graphics card because the
system is build into a 2 HU Rack PC and the AGP port can’t be used. The
Voodoo card is installed on a Raiser PCI card. If photon is started
(running in 1280*1024, 85 Hz) the screen did not stay stable. The lines
are generating a small “zickzack” (looks like a non stable interleave).
To check if there is some problem with the system itself I have
installed Linux with Xfree. But Linux/Xfree runs with absolute no
problem, absolutely stable. Is there any known problem with the Voodoo
driver or anything I can check or modify? The unstable photon session is
absolutely boring.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated
