Geode+CS5330 ,But no Audio found

I installed the QNX6.1 on a Integrated board which is constructed with the
Geode GX1(233M) and its I/O companion of CS5330.The QNX web site says that
they are supported, but the OS can not find the audio.there are no io-audio
process and no /dev/snd dir.y?
best regards.
ChaoLi.

Hi ChaoLi,

Is this on the Dorado board by any chance? On startup press space and
select Enummerator disables, then disable scanning for any other fsys
interface other than EIDE. There is a known problem with Dorado boards
that won’t get audio working without disabling the SCSI enumerators.

Post a reply if it works or not.

Thanks

Erick.

Hi,Erick:

It’s not a Dorado Board I think,but a board from the AdvanTech corp.I
disabled the Enumeratior for scaning the other fsys but it still can not
work.any other advice?

thanks.

Hi ChaoLi,

How do you start the driver? pidin ar output will show this.

Thanks

Hi,Erick:
I have done the job of cheching the running processes by using pidin,no
io-audio can I find,so pidin ar can do nothing.I manually started the audio
by running “io-audio -d deode &” or “io-audio -d sb &”,both seems did no
help. any othere helps?
Today I encountered another problem with QNX.I made a buildfile and then an
ifs file.if I replace the /.altboot file with myifs file or dinit it to the
floppy,it works fine.as you see, there is a 32M CF Flash Card comes with the
AdvanTech board, the CF Card is treated as the second master IDE HD,so I
tried to make it boot from my ifs,I fdisk it and made it bootable and
dinited with -f myifs, but when I pulled off my real HD and boot from the
CF,QNX showed “Hit ESC to boot from altbootD”, then locked!
I am very sure that I need not to care the difference between the real HD
and the “CF HD”,I can use the io-blk or cam.so to access the CF in QNX,the
computer’s BIOS will deal the difference,so,I suppose that QNX can not boot
from a second master HD (it seems that the QNX loader is in its place),am I
right?if so,what shall I do if I want to embed the QNX to the CF Card?
best regards and thanks for your help.

ChaoLi:

I am having a similar problem on another Geode-based board (mine
in BCM EBC-3410).

I attempt to start io-audio, and get no error message and no instance
started. Trying ‘phplay’ to play a .wav file failes, with “Info: Error
Opening
Audio Device” message on the player.

Did you resolve this, and it so, how?

Thanks!
