Tulip driver, MX98715, QNX 6.1

Hello,

I’m having trouble setting up my network card (SOHOWare, on MX98715
chip) under QNX6.1, which is claimed to be supported by tulip driver. To
start with, it is not autodetected, so I:

  1. Kill io-net.
  2. start io-net -d tulip verbose=2 -ptcpip

The driver correctly detects card, its location, vendor and device ID (I
checked with “pci”) but selects media type “MII No Link”. Forcing media
type to any other value does not help, it says “media not found,
defaulting to autodetect → MII No Link”.

Can anyone help me with that? Any help would highly appreciated.

Another unrelated issue is that for some reason I got “connection
refused” at
www.qnxstart.com (I keep getting it in search results in googles.com)
and at http://staff.qnx.com/~cdm/ (often mentioned in these newsgroup)
Is something wrong with my provider?

Thanks a lot, Slava

This is the same problem I was experiencing with my NIC (SMC8035TX A.K.A. Abocom 2500MX, chipset=2500). To date it has been unresolved… You can reference my posting a little farther down the list under the name “Help with SMC 8035 (Abocom FE2500) NIC”.
