Install PCMCIA Nic

Hi,

today I installed QNX (V 6.1) on my Desktop and Laptop.
On the Desktop all is working fine (I writing from it),
but on the laptop the network doesn’t work.
I’m using an SMC 8035TX and this card is on the
list for supported hardware.
How can I configure / setup the nic ?

On the desktop i can simply use the Network Button in Shelf,
but on the laptop there are no devices.

First of all, what make and model of laptop do you have?
Secondly, please post the output from ‘pci -v’ and ‘pin’ with
your SMC network card inserted in the socket.

thanx for your answer.
The Laptop is a Medion (seems not to have an title) Celeron 400.

I try to give you the informations of pci -v and pin but
i dont know how to transfer them to my computer.
I made pci -v > pci.txt but i cant copy it to a floppy.

Yeah, I got it - i could not write to disk, but to my win partition and from
windows to my network :wink:

so please try the following:

  1. slay io-net dhcp.client
  2. io-net -dtulip -ptcpip
  3. ifconfig en0 your.ip.address up
    or
    dhcp.client

You should now be able to ping your host computer. Let us know the
outcome.
