Sound with Geode GX1

Hi all,

With RTP 6.1 I’m using a Geode GX1 (Advantech with the CS5530A) card and I
have no sound
(impossible to read wav file, only the PC buzzer comes out !)

I’m using "io-audio -dgeode & " => without effect.
For test I follow the Answer from :
http://qdn.qnx.com/support/bok/solution.qnx?10435 => without effect.
I try “io-audio -dsb ioport=220,irq=5,dma=1,dma1=1 &” => I have sound but
with a very bad quality.

How can I found the good parameters for the ioport, irq, dma, dma1 ?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

What do you mean by ‘very bad quality’. Is the sound complete
garbage? or does it sound like FM quality?

Thanks

Erick

Hello Jeff,

Is the card a PCI card? If it is could you do a
‘pci -vvv > pci_out.txt’ and then post the entry for your card from the
pci_out.txt file here.

Dave B.

Thank’s for your help.

By “bad quality” I mean Crackles & pops.

I just found the BUG : In the program “mixer” the volume of the CD was 100%
and in this case I have “Crackles & pops” ???

Jeff.
