I don’t really know where to post this, but it’s kind of a big problem
and I can’t figure it out. I’m trying to download the migration kit
guide to my newly installed QNX
6 partition. I’m downloading from:
http://qdn.qnx.com/download/migration/index.html.
I click on “Download Migration Guide” to a temp directory. Now I’m
trying to follow the instructions. When I attempt ‘cp -v
mig4nto.docs.tar.gz /usr/help/product’, I get the following error:
cp: Can’t open destination file.
(/usr/help/product//mig4nto.docs/tar.gz): No such file or directory.
I seems like a permissions error, but I’m running as root, and it seems
like I would have permissions to that directory…
Any ideas??? Thanks.

You cant write in /usr/help/product its virtual directory. From memory
that is a bug ;-(
You need to obtain a QNX6 “packaged” version of the kit. I do
not know where it is though or if one realy exists.

That is kind of weird that the online instructions at qdn tell you to do that
cp…
I thought it did remember seeing the migration kit in a repository, but now I
cannot find it. Does anyone else know where it might be?
