Most ISP I know these days, do not need “login”.
They using pppd “PAP/CHAP” to authenticate clients.
(this is what MS default).

Are you sure you need a “login” ?

If you start “phdialer” in a terminal with option
“-d”, you will get more detail debug output of
why the connection terminated.

Salut,

Allez on switche en Anglais.

So, look at this URL : http://qdn.qnx.com/support/bok/solution.qnx?10390

When you Dial, click on the “Terminal” button, and you’ll see you have an
error 11 or something like that.
PPPOE seems not really supported for WANADOO ISP.
I’m a wanadoo subscriber and I have the same problem.

I’ll try with a new pppd patch found in develloper corner. I’ll keep you
informed.

Bye.
Franck.

OK, I’ve updated my pppd binary with the one available on the developper
network and the problem seems solved now.

I still have some strange behaviour of the web browser, where it hangs
sometimes, for example, I can’t access “www.qnx.com” but I can access
www.free.fr or www.wanadoo.fr

The DNS or something should perhaps be worng.

Bye.

Hi,

I had the same issue also and ‘ed1k’ also suffered the same problem. Ask ISManager@qnx.com. He solved our problem.
does qdn.qnx.com work??? does www.qnx.jp work. Try a traceroute.

Regards,

Freddy

It appears that www.qnx.com may be using a broken implementation of
MTU discovery. If your MTU is less than 1500, then you may be
hitting this problem. The QSSL IS dept. is investigating.
