QNX and LILO

Hi,

I would like to install QNX 6.1 on my LINUX PC but would like to ensure it’s
not gonna mangle my LILO settings when I do.
Can I use LILO to boot QNX?
If so, how do I set it up?
If not, can I just set the active partition from fdisk before shutting down
to change OSes?

TIA,

Richard.

Yes, you can.

Don’t install QNX loader during installation. You’ll have this option
Have you LILO in MBR? Then all OK. If not, then make ext2 partition with LILO active (QNX
installator setted QNX partition active in RTP 6.0, I’m not sure this improved in 6.1A release)

Best regards.

I just did this today successfully. HOWEVER, I ran in to a problem because my QNX RTOS
installation is on a second diisk. I had to put some odd lines in the lilo.conf file which
cross-mapped the drives. Fortunately, there is an entry in the QNX RTOS knowledgebase
(or Book of Knowledge?) which addresses this particular matter.
