Another problem: I can't login

Hi!

I have another problem now with the login window. I try to login but it
doesn’t work: I click the “Login” button, the login window disappears for a
second and then reappears again with the user and password fields in blank.

I’ve tried to login as root and as the user that the installation program
let me create, and allways happens the same.

Any ideas??

First guess would be that the passwords are not what you think they are.
Were you able to log in previously ?

The passwords are correct.

I found this document in the qnx knowledge base:

------------->
Reference No.: QNX.000009595
Category(ies): Filesystem, Installation

Invalid login/password after installing QNX RTP.
When we boot QNX RTP after an install, it will not recognize our username
and password.

This is most likely caused by other programs using up all the disk space,
causing the configuration file with the passwords and user names to not be
created. Make sure that when the install is run, all other running programs
are stopped. Alternately, it could be because there are either colons or
semi-colons in the login/password. These characters are not allowed.

I didn’t have programs running when I installed QNX, and my password is a
very normal one… so… (?)

I “solved” the problem going to text mode, enter login and password, and
then execute ‘ph’. It’s annoying… but works.

Thanks!

Jordi Garcia.
