Feedback requested on Dell laptops.

Does anyone have experience of installing QNX6 on Dell laptops, particularly
the latest Inspiron models? How do they rate in the compatibility stakes?

Any comments welcome.

Thanks, but that doesn’t help as far as Dell are concerned. They refuse to
be precise about their hardware configurations, and you certainly can’t get
your hands on one for evaluation.:-(unless you part with lots of
non-refundable money)

Hello Jim,

Take a look at the following site.
http://www.dell.com/us/en/biz/products/series_inspn_notebooks.htm
This allows you to select the computer you want info on and then select
the ‘tech specs’ tab. this should give you the info you need.

Dave B.

I use an Inspiron 8000 with a 10G HD on which I have QNX 4.25, NTO 6.1 and
WinME all running fine. Since it’s been several months since I installed all
of this I can tell you that Partition Magic worked great to manage the
partition space. The unit I have has an ATI Rage Pro video chipset which
both versions of QNX support.

My only complaint is that although I can use the pcmcia slots in 4.25, NTO
doesn’t recognize anything pcmcia related.

Overall, by using
