Ok updating a 6.1 to 6.2 install...

I did clean install of 6.2 on a machine and it went off without a hitch.
But I couldn’t see how to update a 6.1 install to 6.2. It’s probaly
something easy but I don’t I didn’t see anything in the readme or version
notes on updating a previous install.

Does someone out there have a idea?

Thanks…

Pete Eddy

From the Release Notes:
→ If you have a Beta release installed, or if you’re installing to a
Windows or Solaris host, you must do a fresh install.

Upgrading from QNX Neutrino 6.1.0 or later:
To upgrade from QNX Momentics 6.2.0

  1. Insert CD into your CD-ROM drive – dont reboot your machine.

  2. Run the 6.1.0 Package Installer (pkg-installer).

  3. Select the QNX Software Installer, then click install.

  4. Once the new installer start, select whatever packages you want to
    install.

Hope this helps,
-Brian

I’ll have to check, but I don’t think I saw anything come up when I
ran the 6.1 package Installer from 6.1 with the 6.2 CD in the drive.

I believe it told me I didn’t have any new software to install.
(I’ll check again.)

Does it means that I need to download all the 6.2.0 package to update the
6.1.0 version? Is it the only way?

Thanks!
