pkg manger is not working for me through proxy server. I set the proxy
addresses through the connection tab in preferences, but it doesn’t
work. I get connection refused most times, and can never get the login
prompt for the username and password. Sometimes I get the message:
Error while parsing:
/root//.ph.pkg_mgr/repository/entry2/repository.qrm.temp
junk after document element at line 2.
When I looked at the file mentioned in the error, this is what it
contained:
Proxy Authentication Required
Enter your Username and/or Password.
If you are using a
challenge/response mechanism then just enter your Username
This works for me in voyager, though.

Exactly same for me.
Normally when we use voyager it displays a requester to get out ID and password but it’s not the case when using the package manager.
I think that we have to specify a port number.
Alain.
We actually have a non standard port number for this proxy, and I specify it in the proxy settings for both voyager, and pkmgr. It works
in voyager, prompting me for user/pass with a dialog box. It doesn’t work for pkmgr. Never get the dialog box. I think it has somthing
to do with this xml/html data in this temp file, but I don’t know how. Has anyone from QNX encountered this yet? I posted this in the
installation group with no response and now its been a few days with no response here.
