Network problem

What do I do to setup the RtP network,
on QNX 4.2x I just setup tcpip.1 and netmap,
but where are those files on QNX RtP
and how does it works.

The current setup (default) doesn’t work at all.
I tried to mess with the GUI setup but it didn’t work neither.
I can’t download/install anything and it’s very annoying.

I think I replied on another group, but just in case…

Run phlip (as root) under Photon and setup your network.

I try to setup the TCP/IP here and it doesn’t work at all,
we have a Sun OS, Unix, NT/4 network and it worked pretty fine on QNX4,
but with RtP it doesn’t work at all. I can’t ping any where on the
network.

What should I do ??

Is your network card even functional? Can you give me brand and
model # of the ethernet card you are using if it isn’t? Look in
/dev/io-net/
and you should see (at least) en0, ip0 and ip_en entries. Also, you
can run nicinfo and “cat /proc/ipstats” and see what is going on with
the card and the TCP/IP stack. Have you used phlip to configure your
interface?

Well, the network pci card info was given previously.
I didn’t check that, but I used a config in the start button,
I don’t know if it’s phlip.

I will try it tomorrow.

Fred.

It works fine now.

With a routing to 0.0.0.0

Thanks,
Fred.
