Since you are using the “QNX realtime platform pre-release”
how about calling your product “product_name pre-release”.
Chris
Chris has it right.
I have asked around, and the final answer is “RTP pre-release”, or
“RTP pre-release 1” or “RTP pr1”, etc… QNX (Company Name, not OS)
may also be prepended.
QNX RTP pr1
QNX RTP pre-release 1
etc …
This is because the RTP is a collection of many parts, each of which
has it’s own versioning. (OS, Photon, Dev Tools, etc…). We need (and
now have) a name and version that identify a given QA’d collection of
sub-components that make up a given released version of the RTP.

Ok. I had this same question regarding cross development install
paths that have a component
“…/OS_NAME_AND_VERSION/CPU/…”
I was told to use QNX6 as the name for the OS. I am not sure what to
call RTP, as it is QNX6 + Photon2 + + + +…
I will ask again as to what to call the RTP. (QNX6-RTP ?)

Can QSSL give a straight answer? What I want is to id the version of
OS I am using. QSSL should be the one who defines what QNX RtP 2.0 is
and what QNX RtP 2.1 or 2.01 is.
I have forwarded the last 2 articles to management. Should have an
answer soon.

: It’s brand new so,
: QNX RtP 2.0
: or QNX RtP 2.01, if some patch are added…
: The one with all monitors and network card… QNX RtP 2.1
: 6.00 sounds like very mature which is not the case yet.

: QNX6 should be for QNX 4.2x
: with the Open Watcom (2002?) or something like that
: and compatible with QNX 4.x to some extend.
