Hi,
I have a “huge” problem. Opening a connection to a host takes forever.
I did this small test in both RTP and Windows 98.
ping www.google.com
In RTP it took over 30 seconds before I saw a response. In windows
less than 2. What can cause this?
I looked at the Gateway configuration. What does Destination and
Netmask do? And what are they supposed to be set to.
While I’m at it. While booting RTP I get this message:
“Range check failed(mem) - DEV 3043 - Vend 1106 - Class 20000 -
Addr e8000000 - size 80”
What does it mean?
The last question. I don’t need to type a password to login as
root. That’s kind of dangerous.
I use Patch A.
Thanks in advance,
Anders Hasselqvist

Hi Anders
you can set passwd with the “passwd” command.
I did that as soon as I noticed the problem.
Somehow I still don’t need to enter the password to login.
